Brown urges MPs' expenses probe

The Committee on Standards in Public Life has confirmed that there will be a wide-ranging review of MPs' pay and allowances, starting later this year.

Gordon Brown had written to the committee calling for a full review looking at "outside interests" and second jobs.

It comes after employment minister, Tony McNulty, faced criticism over his second home allowances.
