Defence Secretary John Hutton has apologised to the Commons over inaccurate statements made to the House about the fate of two terror suspects.

Contrary to previous assurances, two people captured by British forces in Iraq were subsequently transferred by the US to Afghanistan, where they remain.

However, Mr Hutton told MPs there was no "substantiated evidence" that they had been mistreated or subjected to abuse.

Peter Hiett reports for Today in Parliament on 26 February.
