Miliband on allies' Afghan strategy

UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband has welcomed US President Barack Obama's announcement of a further 17,000 US troops to Afghanistan.

Speaking during a two-day visit to the country, Mr Miliband said there had been "no pressure or request" for more UK troops to be sent there, and that the US knew British forces were "working incredibly bravely and incredibly hard."
