Opposition on weapons plant sale

Tory defence spokesman Gerald Howarth and Lib Dem Treasury Vince Cable have criticised the government's sale of its shares in the Aldermaston Atomic Weapons Establishment in Berkshire.

The sale to an American company means Britain no longer has any stake in the production of its Trident nuclear warheads.
