UK PM writes to Iceland's premier

A delegation led by Treasury officials has arrived in Reykjavik in Iceland to discuss ways of safeguarding the deposits of British savers held in collapsed Icelandic banks.

At a news conference, Iceland's Prime Minister Geir Haarde said he had received a letter from Gordon Brown which spoke of working together to resolve the situation.
