Prison officers' data missing

Justice Secretary Jack Straw has ordered an urgent inquiry into the loss of a portable hard drive containing the details of up to 5,000 prison staff.

The names, dates of birth, national insurance numbers and prison service numbers were lost by private contractor EDS, as long ago as July 2007.

Speaking to the BBC News Channel, Glyn Travis, assistant secretary of the Prison Officer's Association gave his reaction to the security breach.
