Deputy Mayor Ray Lewis quits

London's deputy mayor has resigned two months into his post and a day after Mayor Boris Johnson announced an inquiry into claims of financial irregularities.

Ray Lewis said he was standing down so the mayoral team could "get on with business" but denied any inappropriate behaviour.
