Digital Democracy - get involved

Houses of Parliament

If you'd like to get involved in a new BBC project aimed at opening up our democratic institutions, we'd love to hear from you.

We are developing plans for a web-based service that can help our audiences understand and access the main UK institutions and the European Parliament. We aim to open a window on the workings of Parliaments and Assemblies so the public can find out more about the issues that matter and engage with the people who represent them.

The project: We aim to create a destination for the very best of BBC and third party political content in a multi-media gallery that offers convenient access to live and recorded content from debating chambers across Westminster, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the European Parliament. The service will strive to make information around the institutions, their representatives and key issues more accessible, more interesting and more engaging.

What we’re looking for: Right now we're finalising a blueprint for the project. We’re looking for volunteers to check out some of the design concepts and provide some feedback on what you like and don’t like. This will really help us shape the final product and deliver a service that people actually want and will use and share. We’ll send you more information on this process once you’ve indicated if you’d like to take part.

Taking part: There’s no obligation at this stage to take part. But, if you think you’d be interested in participating and would like to receive more information please take a moment or two to fill out the form below and then hit the submit button.

We hope you’ll understand that places are limited and that we will carefully select participants to ensure we have a representative mix of age-groups, locations, genders etc.
