EU treaty on Sarkozy-Blair agenda

PM Tony Blair and Chancellor Gordon Brown are to discuss the draft EU treaty with French President Nicolas Sarkozy ahead of the EU summit.

Downing Street said the trio would meet in London on 19 June, two days before meeting again in Brussels.

The meeting comes after Mr Blair and Mr Sarkozy discussed the treaty when both attended the G8 in Germany last week.

Next week's meeting would allow more detailed discussions than were possible at G8, Mr Blair's spokesman said.
