Met boss 'not in dark' on Menezes
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair has denied he was "kept in the dark" about the killing of Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes.

He had wrongly claimed the 27-year-old had failed to stop for police looking for failed London suicide bombers.

Sir Ian told Radio 4's Today programme there was "no suggestion" he had not been fully informed after the event.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating the killing at Stockwell Tube station on 22 July.
