Lindsey German, Respect, The Unity Coalition

Manifesto key points:

  • Opposed to war on Iraq
  • Minimum wage of £7.40 p/hour and London weighting of £4,000 pa
  • Scrap council tax
  • Tube fares pegged at £1
  • Emergency programme to build affordable homes - paid for by tax on office building
  • Build crossrail link and improve overland railways

Ram Gidoomal CBE, Christian Peoples Alliance

Manifesto key points:

  • Increase the number of black and minority ethnic police officers
  • Create 130 new schools with a Christian/Faith foundation
  • Establish a £500m London regeneration fund
  • Issue a People's bond to fund tube improvements
  • Give boroughs the power to run mini congestion charge zones in busy areas
  • More public toilets

Simon Hughes, Liberal Democrats

Manifesto key points:

  • Eight-strong community police teams for each neighbourhood.
  • Volunteer civilian force to help with aftermath of terror attack.
  • Pedestrianise Oxford Street.
  • No congestion charge extension, but will reduce time when it applies from to 6.30pm to 5pm.
  • Stop Heathrow expansion and support "low emission zones and other anti-pollution measures
  • London wide information phoneline to report anti-social behaviour or find out about council services.
  • Tube to run until 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Darren Johnson, Green Party

Manifesto key points:

  • Expand the congestion charge scheme
  • No new road building - spend the £1bn saved on public transport
  • 20 mph speed limit on all but 'major' roads
  • Minimum living wage for low-paid
  • Tube running all night at weekends
  • End to airport expansion and night flights

Julian Leppert, British National Party

  • Scrap the congestion charge
  • Make sure London "No longer welcomes economic migrants"
  • Two new orbital rail services
  • Scrap the 2012 Olympic bid
  • No Heathrow airport extension - build a new airport in the Thames estuary instead
  • All public buildings to fly flag of St George on St George's day

Ken Livingstone, Labour

Manifesto key points:

  • Police teams of six officers for each neighbourhood
  • Extend congestion charge to Kensington & Chelsea.
  • Run the Tube later every Friday and Saturday night
  • More buses; free bus travel for full time students aged under 18
  • 30,000 new homes a year
  • Aim to push forward Labour policy on childcare, seeking to provide affordable childcare to all who want it by 2010.

Frank Maloney, UK Independence Party

Manifesto key points:

  • 40,000 police officers
  • Abolish the congestion charge
  • Tube to run later
  • Free bus travel for under 18s travelling to school
  • Abolish GLA
  • St George's Day parade

Dr Tammy Nagalingam

Manifesto key points

  • Limit congestion charging to 0700-0930
  • Ban big lorries from central London between 0600 and 1800
  • Have better street lighting in alleys and corners of trouble spots
  • 50% of the Mayor's salary donated to a new charity to improve public and environmental health
  • Improve funding for police recruitment and training
  • Celebrate St George's Day in Hyde Park

Steve Norris, Conservative

  • Hundreds of police officers should be out on the streets rather than in offices or cars
  • "Zero tolerance" for minor crimes like graffiti, vandalism and public drunkenness
  • More police officers for outer London
  • Abolish congestion charge
  • Introduce free school buses for children at primary schools
  • Run the Tube until 3am at weekends, put air conditioning into stations and provide security guards at night

Lorna Reid, Independent Working Class Association

  • Support communities in tackling anti-social behaviour
  • Abolish council tax and replace with local taxation based on ability to pay
  • Introduce a living wage of £7.32 per hour
  • Seek extra funding from central government for areas with high influx of refugees
  • More public funding for council housing
  • Facilities for people trying to escape drug addiction
