Queen 'in Lord Chancellor talks'
Lord Falconer
Lord Falconer's historic post would be abolished under the changes
The Queen is meeting the Lord Chancellor, Lord Falconer, on Wednesday evening, it has emerged.

The talks come just days after the House of Lords defeated government plans to scrap the historic post and set up a supreme court.

Buckingham Palace says the meeting, which has not be announced publicly, has been arranged "for some time".

The Queen is said to be unhappy with plans to get rid of the lord chancellor role as part of constitutional reform.
