Online 1000: Poll breakdown
As the race row within the Conservative Party continues BBC New Online's latest exclusive survey examines how the major parties have dealt with the politically sensitive issues of race, ethnicity and asylum.

A detailed breakdown of the survey results can be seen below.

More surveys will be published during the coming election campaign.

ICM polled 1,033 adults in England, Wales and Scotland between Tuesday 24 April and Tuesday 1 May, 270 of them by telephone and the rest by email. The results have been weighted to the profile of all adults.

Q.5 When deciding which party to vote for, which ONE of the following issues has the greatest influence on your decision:
* Results add up to more than 100% as those surveyed could make more than one choice.
