A security alert in Dungannon, County Tyrone has ended.

A suspicious object was spotted outside the courthouse shortly before 0830 GMT on Wednesday and examined by Army Technical Officers.

Police later declared it a false alarm. Roads have been reopened and residents have been allowed back into their homes.

The security alert on Killyman Road led to the closure of St Patrick's Primary School.

An earlier alert at Lake street in Lurgan has been declared a hoax.
