Cars left at Enniskillen Orange hall damaged

police back

Damage estimated at thousands of pounds has been caused to a number of cars parked near an Orange hall in Enniskillen.

The vehicles belonged to people who were attending a certificate presentation ceremony at the Tempo Road hall.

They discovered their cars had been scratched while they were at the event.

Robert Dane, the secretary of Fermanagh Grand Orange Lodge, said that at least seven cars had been damaged.

"It seems to me that this was a sectarian attack, the cars were all parked outside an Orange hall when an event was taking place," he said.

"Some of the people in the hall, while they would have connections are not actually members, they were wives of members, families, sons and daughters."
