The roof of the house in Enniskillen was damaged following the explosion

An explosion which caused substantial damage to a house in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, is now being treated as suspicious by police.

Police were made aware of the incident at Monea Road, close to Derrygonnelly Road at about 0110 GMT on Saturday.

Initial enquiries suggest the explosion happened at about 2300 GMT on Friday. No-one was in the property at the time.

Police said while enquiries were continuing into the incident, a paramilitary motive was not suspected.
