Lifeguard on petrol bomb charge

A Derry City Council lifeguard has appeared in court charged with possessing a petrol bomb during last August's Apprentice Boys parade.

Stephen Paul Radcliffe, 19, of Lecky Road, appeared at Londonderry Magistrates Court.

Mr Radcliffe is also charged with riotous behaviour. Both offences are alleged to have occurred in Fahan Street on 8 August last year.

He was released on bail and is due to appear in court again in March.
