Ryanair announces new Derry to Portugal flight

The service from Derry to Bristol will end in October

Irish budget airline, Ryanair, has announced a new route between the City of Derry Airport and Portugal.

The service to Faro will operate twice weekly from April 2010. The company already runs a service from the city to Alicante.

Company spokesperson, Laura McCormack said that they were "delighted to announce another sun destination from Derry".

The announcement was welcomed by Derry City Council, which owns the airport.
