Two men released over Kevin McDaid murder

Two men arrested in connection with the murder of Coleraine community worker Kevin McDaid in May have been released.

The men were arrested on Tuesday. They were also questioned about the attempted murder of Damien Fleming.

A police spokeswoman said a 53-year-old man was released pending reports while a 41-year-old man was released on bail pending further enquiry.

So far, 11 people have been charged with Mr McDaid's murder.

The Catholic father-of-four was killed by a loyalist mob near his home in Somerset Drive in the Heights area of the town.
