Derry City says it is working towards meeting its financial obligations

A meeting is to be held on Monday for fans who have already bought season tickets for Derry City FC.

A new board is expected to be up and running within a week.

The new board members are Philip O'Doherty, Sean Barrett, Harry McCourt, Peter Wallace, Michael Doherty, Michael Mullan, and Tony O'Doherty.

Philip O'Doherty, who heads the group set up to run Derry City after it went into administration, said the club's most loyal fans must be looked after.

"At the meeting we will set out exactly what the situation is, and we're going to come up with a resolution.

"The season tickets that people have already bought for next year will be revalidated, and we'll also ask them to consider buying shares in the new club," he said.
