Two charged over Houston killing

Two men have appeared in court in Portugal charged in connection with the death of a Londonderry businessman in the Algarve earlier this month.

The men, who are aged 19 and 26 and from Brazil, were charged with homicide and robbery.

The 26-year-old was remanded in custody while the 19-year-old was placed under partial house arrest.

Paul Houston, 51, died after being attacked in Alvor while walking back to his accommodation on 6 September.

Mr Houston was originally from Donegal and ran a shoe business in Derry.

The father-of-four was in the Algarve with his wife and six other couples on a golfing trip.
