A parade has been held in Rossnowlagh since 1978

Several thousand Orangemen have taken part in their annual parade in Rossnowlagh, County Donegal. Lodge members from across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan converged on the seaside resort on Saturday. Orangemen travelled from as far away as Togo and Ghana, as well as the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. During their trip they will also attend the Imperial Grand Council conference of the Orange Institution in Belfast. The march comes before the annual 12 July celebrations in Northern Ireland, marking the 1690 Battle of the Boyne.
