Road opens after gas leak scare

Drumahoe
The main Derry to Belfast road at Drumahoe has been re-operned

The main Londonderry to Belfast road at Drumahoe has been re-opened following a suspected gas leak at a filling station.

The emergency services were called to the scene following concerns that gas was escaping from a forecourt tank.

A police spokesperson said the incident had caused significant disruption to traffic.

Diversions were put in place and motorists had been advised to avoid the area.
