Man stabbed outside mother's home

Police

A shop-owner has been beaten and stabbed by armed men outside his mother's house on the Glen Road in Londonderry.

Two men, one armed with a knife, forced Patrick McCloskey to hand over cash during the attack on Sunday evening.

One of the men then stabbed him on the shoulder.

Mr McCloskey said he handed over the money when the men threatened to kill him. "I handed it over, then they beat me again," he said.
