Sex offender returned to prison

A convicted sex offender who breached his probation conditions on his release from jail has been sent back to prison.

Appearing at Londonderry Crown Court James McIntyre, 29, of Drummard Close, Derry, was jailed for a further 12 months.

A sexual offences prevention order was imposed for five years and McIntyre will be placed on the sex offenders register for an indefinite period.

In 2006 he was jailed for 18 months indecently assaulting a woman.
