Farmer murder police arrest man

A 32-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Patrick Devine in Claudy, in September 2004, police have said.

Mr Devine was found slumped over his dinner at his remote farmhouse in the Sperrin Mountains. He had been shot.

He was a psychiatric nurse and ran a large-scale sheep farm. The killing was featured on Crimewatch in June.

The detained man was arrested in Londonderry on Thursday and is being questioned at Antrim police station.
