The house fire in which a 35-year-old Fermanagh man died and his mother was critically injured is not being treated as deliberate, police have said.

Four people were in the house on Derryvullan Road, in Tamlaght, outside Enniskillen, at the time of the blaze.

The dead man was Colin Faulkner. His mother is in a critical condition while his father and brother are also being treated in hospital for their injuries.

Mr Faulkner was discovered by fire crews in a first-floor bedroom.

The fire was reported at about 0140 GMT.

Fire service group commander Eamonn Gallagher said the cause of the blaze was still being investigated.

"This will be a police-led investigation and they will be trying to determine the cause of the fire," he added.

Three police officers who helped in the rescue were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
