A sixth man has been charged with the murder of father-of-three Eamonn Hughes in Dungannon, County Tyrone.

Martin Raymond Jude Murray, 21, of Windmill Park in the town, was also charged with hijacking a taxi.

He was remanded in custody to appear in court again next month. Five other men have already been charged with Mr Hughes' murder.

The 48-year-old was stabbed to death as he walked home from his daughter's 18th birthday party last Friday night.

Meanwhile, the police are to revisit the scene of the murder in the early hours of Saturday morning, exactly a week since the attack took place.

The police said they want to gather more information about what happened.
