scene
The accident happened at about 0100 BST on Friday

The Garda Ombudsman is investigating the death of a man in a car crash in Muff in County Donegal on Friday.

He has been named locally as Paul McMonagle, 22, from Leafair Park in the Galliagh area of Londonderry.

He was a passenger in a car driven by his father which was being followed by gardai. The car hit a wall and ended up on its roof near a petrol station.

Mr McMonagle had claimed in a newspaper interview that his life was under threat from the Real IRA.

He was quoted in Friday's Derry Journal as saying he had been threatened by the dissident republican group after being wrongly accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Galliagh.

Mr McMonagle's funeral will take place in Carnhill in Derry on Monday.

Mr McMonagle's father was also injured in the crash, and is being treated in Letterkenny General Hospital.

His condition is described as stable.

The village was closed to traffic between the Texaco garage and Liberty Bridge for most of the day, but has since re-opened.
