Former councillor Basil Johnston has been selected by the Ulster Unionist Party to stand in the Fermanagh council by-election in September.

The DUP's Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has already declared her intention to stand.

Nationalist parties have yet to choose their candidates. The TUV is to make a decision later this week.

The seat became vacant following the death of Nigel Dodds' father, Joe Dodds.
