Charges stem from city drugs raid

A 25-year-old man has been charged with a series of drug and gun related offences.

It follows a raid at a house in the Ballymurphy area of west Belfast on Friday in which guns, cannabis and cash were seized.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.

The cannabis seized is understood to have had an estimated street value of £30,000, according to a PSNI spokeswoman.

A 20-year-old woman arrested at the same time has been released pending further reports.
