IRA 'bugged army' on Bloody Sunday
13 people died on Bloody Sunday
13 people died on Bloody Sunday
The IRA has released a tape which it claims is a recording of a bugged conversation among army personnel on Bloody Sunday.

It is understood a copy of the tape has now been sent to the Bloody Sunday Inquiry.

The inquiry is examining the events of 30 January 1972 when British soldiers opened fire on a civil rights march in Londonderry.

Thirteen people were killed on the day and a fourteenth man died later from gunshot injuries.

'Wrong people shot'

Republican sources in Londonderry say the tape is of conversations among army officers, and telephone calls between soldiers and journalists.

On part of the tape, there is a reference made by one soldier to "things going badly" and the "wrong people" being shot.

The tribunal is scheduled to re-open in the Guildhall in Derry in November.
