Authorities issue warning over counterfeit brake pads

Consumer Correspondent, Martin Cassidy, reports on the counterfeit brake pads which are thought to have already been sold to both mechanics and motorists.

If you are planning to have your car serviced this summer or have recently had brake pads fitted, you need to know unsafe counterfeit parts are being sold to unsuspecting mechanics and motorists.

While they are hard to tell apart from the real thing, Trading Standards say the counterfeit parts are unsafe and are putting lives at risk.

Our Consumer Correspondent, Martin Cassidy, reports on the fake brakes which could put road users and pedestrians in danger.
