Car damaged in Strabane pipe bomb attack

Army bomb disposal vehicle

A car has been damaged in a suspected pipe-bomb attack in County Tyrone.

The device was thrown into the car at O'Nolan Park, Strabane, at about 0100 BST on Sunday.

People living close to the scene of the attack were evacuated from their homes during the night while Army bomb experts moved in to examine the vehicle.

There are no reports of any injuries. The alert has ended and residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
