Couple have home attacked twice

police

A couple in their sixties said their home in a north Belfast interface has been targeted in a sectarian attack for the second time in a week.

A window was broken in Frank McAuleys's home in Twaddell Avenue at about 2300 BST on Friday.

The police said a man was arrested over a similar attack on the same street earlier this week.

Mr McAuley, who was home at the time, said they were left frightened by the latest incident.

"Me and my wife couldn't get to sleep until five in the morning," he said.

"The young fella, and I mean about 12 or 13, came runing over and lobbed a concrete block at the window which was already damaged.

"Then he ran off towards his friends and they absconded to the Ardoyne area, it is just not on," Mr McAuley added.
