Seamus Fox was found on waste ground at Woodbourne Crescent
A teenager has appeared in court charged with the murder of a west Belfast father of eight.
Seamus Fox, 58, was found with serious head injuries on waste ground behind Woodbourne police station on Thursday morning and died shortly afterwards.
Gerard Connor, 18, from Glenveagh Drive in west Belfast appeared in Belfast Magistrates Court on Saturday.
His family wept in court as the charge was read. His solicitor said he strenuously denied it.
The court was told that Mr Connor gave himself up to police in Antrim shortly after the killing.
In court on Saturday, a detective said he could connect the teenager with the charge.
The incident happened close to the police station but the detective said that no CCTV evidence had been put to the accused during initial questioning.
Mr Connor was remanded in custody until 18 May.
