Election 2010 Constituency Profile: Strangford

Strangford

Cannot play media. Sorry, this media is not available in your territory.

Strangford is made up of parts of Ards, Castlereagh and Down.

The MP here was the DUP's Iris Robinson - she stood down in December.

Just over 60,000 people can vote in this constituency.

This is the most re-arranged constituency which, despite its name, does not contain the town of Strangford.

Something you may not know now though - three quarters of the world population of brent geese winter in the lough.
