Former boxing champion Eamonn Magee has appeared in court charged with threatening to kill two women.

It is understood the alleged victims are his ex-wife and an ex-partner.

The 38-year-old from Eskdale Gardens in Belfast denies harassment, stealing a purse containing cash and credit cards, and damaging a car.

He also denies breaching five separate non-molestation orders against the other woman. He did not apply for bail and is due in court again next month.

Last month, the former WBU welterweight champion won an appeal against a conviction for headbutting a man in north Belfast.
