Pensioners are burgled in north Belfast

Two elderly woman, one of whom is in her 90s, have been burgled at a house in the Cavehill area of north Belfast.

At about 2040 GMT on Thursday, police received a report that two men had forced their way into the property.

Police said the burglers made off towards the Ballysillan Road area with a bag containing personal items.

It is understood the women were physically unhurt but shaken by their ordeal. Police have appealed for information.
