Fire engine

A fire at a derelict building in south Belfast is being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Part of Tate's Avenue was closed to traffic following the fire which was reported at about 0610 GMT on Saturday. It has since reopened.

It is understood the blaze was started on the first floor of the property.

Three people were evacuated from an adjoining house by firefighters, but they have now been allowed to return. There are no reports of any injuries.
