Thieves in Ballymena escape with prize pigeons

Thieves have stolen 18 prize pigeons from a loft at Ballymena in County Antrim.

The remains of two birds were found at the scene following the raid on the loft at Woodtown Road.

A PSNI spokesperson said it was believed the theft occurred sometime between 2230 and 2330 GMT on Friday.

Police want to hear from anyone who noticed the culprits or a vehicle parked in the area, or from anyone who can help to recover the stolen pigeons.
