DUP MLA Ian Paisley Jnr has asked the assembly to investigate the Sinn Fein leader, Gerry Adams', handling of child abuse allegations against his brother Liam.
The assembly ombudsman, Tom Frawley, is considering that request.
In Dundalk, the Sinn Fein Louth TD, Arthur Morgan, told BBC Northern Ireland's Dublin Correspondent Shane Harrison that Liam Adams was involved in the party there in the mid-1990s.
