Family without heat since weekend

An east Belfast mother has said she feels let down by the Housing Executive after she and her two children were left without heating since the weekend.

On Saturday, Stacey Hoey, from Clonduff Drive, contacted the Housing Executive when her boiler broke down.

An engineer called to the house, but Miss Hoey was told she would have to wait for a spare part and was given an electric blow heater.

"It doesn't even heat the living room, never mind the bedroom," she said.

"At the minute we are all in one bedroom.

"I think it's disgraceful. I'm sure I'm not the only one sitting without heating at the minute with kids, but I don't think it's right at all."
