Crossmaglen man admits bomb-making charges

Belfast Crown Court

A south Armagh man has admitted making bombs and possessing ammunition with intent to endanger life.

Turlough Robert McAllister, 36, of Lisarraw Road in Crossmaglen, was arrested in September 2008.

Belfast Crown Court heard police uncovered crushed ammonium nitrate fertiliser, ammunition for a shotgun and rifle and a handbook containing information on improvised munitions.

He was remanded in custody until sentencing in January.
