Jewellery is stolen by armed gang

police car

Three masked and armed men have robbed a jewellery shop in Omagh.

Shortly after 1330 GMT on Tuesday the men - two of whom had handguns and the third a knife - went into the shop at Scarffes Entry and threatened staff.

They got away with gold and silver jewellery and watches.

The robbers escaped in a dark-coloured Mitsubishi Colt which was driven by a fourth man. The vehicle had a child seat in the back.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw it in Omagh town centre, waiting at Scarffes Entry or leaving the town.
