A son of a man found murdered in Lurgan, County Armagh, has been arrested in connection with his death.

Michael McGleenon, 75, was found in a house in Mansefield, a private housing development off the town's Old Portadown Road, at about 2030 GMT on Thursday.

His 35-year-old son was arrested at the scene and is being questioned.

Police have appealed for anyone in the area on Thursday evening who saw anything suspicious to contact them.

The house, and the area around it, remained cordoned off overnight and throughout much of Friday as forensic experts carried out a detailed examination of the scene.
