Teenage girl attacked for phone

Police

A teenage girl was punched in the face and had her phone stolen during a street robbery in south Belfast.

The 16-year-old girl was walking with a friend in the University Square area at about 1425 GMT on Tuesday when she was attacked by two girls.

The robbers made off in the direction of Botanic Avenue.

Police have appealed for anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.
