Residents back home after alert

Police tape

A security alert which resulted in the evacuation of up to 50 homes in Dundonald has now ended.

Police and army technical officers were called to the scene after receiving a report of a suspicious object at a property in Dundonald Heights.

The police have since declared the area to be safe.

The residents have been allowed to return to the their homes.
