Man faces child assault charges

Scales of justice

A 36-year-old man has been charged with raping a child.

The man was arrested by detectives from the PSNI's Child Abuse Unit on Sunday 1 November.

Police also said the man faced a number of other sexual offence charges, including the sexual assault of a child.

The man is to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
