Weather update

Monday: Dry this morning and bright for a time with some hazy sunshine especially in eastern counties.

It will feel chilly as the south-easterly breeze starts to freshen.

This afternoon thicker cloud will eventually bring rain to many central and western areas. Top temperature 10 Celsius.

A wet and windy spell will follow in all areas this evening with some heavy bursts of rain and brisk southerly winds.

However, the rain will start to clear after midnight and it will be dry and clear again by morning.

Temperatures will dip to 2 or 3 Celsius in the west and there may be an odd shower along the north coast.
